"Confidential AI" is a concept that didn't exist until recently because applying confidential computing to AI accelerators was tricky. Now, Nvidia's Hopper H100 GPUs with full confidential-computing capabilities have changed this and made three key use cases possible:

1. Safely outsourcing AI tasks, now that we can protect AI workloads from the underlying infrastructure. 

2. Intellectual property protection for AI models, especially when a proprietary AI model is integrated into a 3rd party offering.

3. Preserve privacy for AI training, by executing AI software in a confidential-computing environment.
